So. Today we were supposed to do another market, and we tried. However, the same thing that kept us from having a block party at the end of summer, kept people from prayer on Yom Kippur, shut down our Farmers Market on the block today...THE EVERLASTING SINKHOLE!!!
It has truly made me wonder if our Christmas Caravan is in danger of being derailed too?
There's no other block in any other ward in this city where this kind of blatant disregard would be acceptable. And, it's not acceptable in the 6th ward on 75th and Stewart either. Yet that doesn't stop the city from trying anyway.
Today there were crews drilling, which was very difficult for our kids with auditory hypersensitivity, and sawing concrete that spewed toxic dust into the air, and of course what goes up must come down, and when it did it blanketed our yard.
So like they say when life gives you lemons add vodka and shake, that's exactly what we did!
Instead of this being a loss for us, we donated all of the unsold food to our friend Bob Israel and the Save Our Community Coalition to accompany their turkeys!
So even when your plan doesn't work out G-ds still does!
